Your Home – Your Office: Turning Your Home Computer into Cash
A lot can happen in 10 years! In 1996, the founder of Amazon.com decided to try
a new strategy to sell Amazon.com’s products. In just a few short years, what began
as an idea to increase sales has developed into a widely successful Internet marketing
industry known as affiliate marketing.
And the industry has spread far beyond Amazon.com’s virtual borders. Countless
internet retailers have recognized the proven profitability to be had through affiliate
marketing, and they have become a part of this industry boom.
If the news is great for retailers, it is even better for individual entrepreneurs
seeking a legitimate and profitable home-based business opportunity. Over the years,
affiliate marketing has provided tens of thousands of individuals just like you
with additional sources of income.
All that is needed are a computer and an internet connection.
Two of the biggest draws of affiliate marketing are that it requires no upfront
investment and involves no risk. And because this levels the playing field for potential
business owners, affiliate marketing entrepreneurs are growing in number.
Like success in any business, however, success in affiliate marketing does require
a bit of an education. And James Martell’s Affiliate Marketing Handbook is Success
Tool 101.
In this popular and effective training manual, James Martell offers A-to-Z tips,
secrets, and guidance for individuals seeking to
start their own home-based
business.
The handbook is a one-of-a-kind guide that includes everything that you need
to become an effective – and profitable – affiliate marketing entrepreneur.
No one will argue that capitalizing on the worldwide reach of the internet can
be invaluable to generating significant profit from the sales of products or services.
The founder of Amazing.com proved this very fact several years ago.
Naturally, advertising products and services on more than one website increases
the probability of sales and, therefore, the probability of profit.
In today’s affiliate marketing world, websites can provide profitable sources
of income for both the seller and the “affiliate” – or owner of the site advertising
the seller’s products. Through links, banners, etc., affiliate marketers guide visitors
to the sellers’ (a.k.a. merchants’) websites. For every purchase a visitor makes
(or sometimes for simply visiting the site), the affiliate earns a commission.
Since Amazon.com’s first simple venture into affiliate marketing in 1996, the
process has expanded both in reach and, yes, in complexity. BUT for those who are
able to break through the surface “confusion,” affiliate marketing has proven an
extremely profitable and legitimate business opportunity.
Thankfully, James Martell is one of these people. And he has compiled his experiences
and knowledge into his handbook to share with other affiliate marketing entrepreneurs
to help them avoid pitfalls and achieve maximum success.
James Martell’s handbook provides all the information and resources needed to
build a successful home-based business, even for people who also work full-time.
Of course, like any business, successful affiliate marketing takes determination,
time, and effort. But success is attainable!
You may already be familiar with affiliate marketing but know it as another name:
associate programs. However you title it, the concept is quite simple. Retailers
or merchants (such as Amazon.com) partner with affiliates (website owners, such
as you). On his or her site, the affiliate promotes the merchants’ products or services
and provides links by which site visitors can either purchase the merchants’ products
or services or gain additional information.
Whenever the visitor makes a purchase or, in some arrangements, signs up for
information or even visits the merchant’s site, the affiliate earns a commission.
It’s that simple!
Of
course, establishing a profitable affiliate site is a bit more complex and requires
more than simply linking to a merchant’s site, and James Martell’s handbook explains
in detail how to build a site that will earn you substantial and ongoing income.
Even if you have never gone to business school, you can establish a successful
home-based business, and Martell’s handbook shows you how. His style is both enjoyable
and easy to follow and will help you get your affiliate site up and running in no
time.
Martell’s handbook gives you everything you need to know to begin receiving income
month after month – every month – from your affiliate partners.
Speaking of Payment...
Affiliate marketing involves a few types of payment options, including pay-per-sale,
pay-per-click, and pay-per-lead.
But don’t let the lingo intimidate you. It’s actually quite simple.
In pay-per-sale, the affiliate gets paid by the merchant each time a referred
visitor makes a purchase from the merchant’s site. Sometimes the merchant will pay
a fixed amount, and sometimes payment will be calculated as a percentage of the
sale amount.
In pay-per-click, the affiliate’s pay is calculated based on the number of visitors
who “click” on the link leading to the merchant’s website. Whether or not the visitor
makes a purchase, the affiliate (a.k.a. you) earns an income!
In pay-per-lead, the affiliate earns income based on the number of visitors to
a merchant’s site who sign-up as “leads.” In other words, the visitor will enter
information on the merchant’s site, and the merchant will then use this information
as a sales “lead”.
Understanding these types of payment arrangements is vital for the affiliate
marketer. But never fear. Martell’s handbook explains each of these three payment
methods.
In addition to this, Martell’s handbook provides a “wealth” of information for
affiliate marketing entrepreneurs looking to create just that: “wealth”… and all
from the comfort of their own home. In truth, what could be better?
